Nike LunarTempo Review
If you know me at all you know that I have a strong appreciation (bordering on obsession?) for Nike running shoes. I have more pairs than anyone really needs, but every time I get a new one, I feel like I can run faster, farther and better than before. I haven't reviewed my shoes here in a while, but I really loved their new release of the Nike LunarTempo shoes. They are lightweight, but with enough cushioning that I can take them on long runs without worrying about my feet getting too sore or feeling the road with every step. They are akin to running on clouds - or at least what I think that would be like. Perhaps more like running on marshmallows!
The sole is made of lightweight Lunarlon foam that gives just enough cushioning, while still being responsive. They feature the signature waffle tread that made Nike famous and have a seamless fit. The Flywire cables on the side really lock my foot into place. I am so excited to run my next half marathon in them on June 20 at the Zooma race in Napa.
I went on a four-mile run today and enjoyed every minute. I felt like I had just the right amount of support that I had been looking for in a shoe. I did have to go a half-size up when I purchased the shoe as it runs a bit short in the toe box, but after sizing up they are a perfect fit. They come in both a women's and men's version in a variety of colors - 12 different colors for the ladies! I loved the bright color of this model.
If you are looking for a soft ride in a neutral shoe, the LunarTempo may be right for you. Give it a try and let me know your experience.
