The running history in Eugene. Eugene is the birthplace of running. It's one of the most iconic and historic places to run. You get to finish on Hayward Field! Where Olympic dreams have been realized. The running community itself is also incredibly supportive. The crowds are loud, excited, and cheer you on throughout the course.

Flat & fast course. It's a great course as far as scenery and elevation gain. You run through parks, gorgeous scenery, trials and along the Willamette River. If you are looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon, this is one race that will help you get there!

Environmentally responsible race. The Eugene Marathon is dedicated to keeping the "Emerald City," as Eugene is often called, green. Utilizing local waste management companies, reducing water bottle use on course, green goodie bags, reusing signs, donating leftover food and clothing and partnering with local and national charities are all part of how the Eugene Marathon keeps Eugene green.

Post race breakfast. Who doesn't love pancakes! Krusteaz is out every year providing a delicious post-race fuel station full of fluffy pancakes. Yum. Other venders are also at the finish with delicious treats from various race sponsors and local vendors.
