Stuff that Stocking - A Runner & Fitness Enthusiast's Dream!
Christmas time is here and with it comes all the hustle & bustle, decorating and gift shopping. One of my favorite things to do is fill a stocking or dream of what my own "runner stocking" might be filled with. As a runner, you can never have too many accessories, fuel or socks. A stocking is the perfect place to get race ready for the coming year. Below are a few of my favorite picks for filling the stocking of the runner or fitness enthusiast in your life. PocketFuel - Every runner needs fuel to make it through those tough long runs or track sessions and one of my favorites is from PocketFuel. Made of all natural, nut-butter blends and fruits, these small packets pack a punch and give you the energy to finish strong.
Feetures! Running Socks - I love these socks for training and racing. With a range of styles, fabrics and colors, you are sure to find a pair that everyone will love. My favorite are the Merino wool blend socks which are excellent at wicking away sweat and keeping feet warm and dry on long runs or during tough workouts.
ShowerPill - Let's face it, when we workout or run, we sweat, and that often means we are sticky and smelly afterwards. A lot of the time we are not near a shower and we need to clean up before we grace the public with our presence. Enter - ShowerPill! These wipes are extra thick and one is all you need to freshen up. ShowerPill wipes are antibacterial and work like soap and water, leaving your skin feeling clean, fresh and moisturized. Best of all, they are alcohol free! I love throwing these in my gym bag and grabbing them on the go. They're also easy to pack in my purse and just keep in the car so I'm always prepared post-workout. I wish I had had these when I ran the Hood to Coast Relay in 2013, however, when I run a Ragnar relay race in the future, I will be sure to pack these with me! Right now ShowerPill is offering a 20% discount on a purchase of two boxes or more with code: Holiday20 (expires January 1, 2015). Order a few boxes for yourself and a few to fill the stockings!
See the Shower Pill in action below after a workout. Use it to wipe down your body and face before you change back into dry clothes. It's big enough and thick enough to help you wipe away sweat and feel fresh with just one wipe. Don't believe me? Even the Seattle Seahawks agree - see their review here. Now go grab some for yourself and stuff that stocking!
Nike Running Gloves - These thermal gloves keep your hands toasty in winter weather. Insulated with soft fleece and outfitted with reflective details, these gloves keep you warm, dry and visible. Touchscreen compatible fingers allow you to use your mobile device while on the go.
JBL Speaker - This speaker clips onto your backpack or anywhere you want to take it. It's portable with bluetooth capability and a built in microphone. It's great for tunes on the go and pumping up your workout or hike.
Nathan Handheld Water Bottle - Staying hydrated is a must on a long run. This water bottle has an adjustable strap to allow your hand to rest while on the run. The expandable, zippered pocket has plenty of room to store fuel, your house key or some cash. It also fits perfectly in the bottom of a stocking!
Zoom Run Race Registration - There is nothing better than a free race registration! For the special lady in your life, treat her to registration to the 10K or half marathon at Zooma Napa Valley. Register with my ambassador code: KAREN15 for 10% off!
Massage Roller - Great for rolling out those tight spots and for Myofacial release. With rounded grip ends for trigger point relief and raised foam sections to go deep into muscles, this massage roller does it all! Of course, you can also throw a massage gift certificate in the stocking as well!
Nuun Hydration Tabs - Nuun is my absolute favorite hydration drink. The tabs are easy to carry with you and add to water. Watermelon and Tri-berry are my two favorite flavors. Grab a 4-pack and slip a tube in everyone's stocking for great hydration on the go.
I would be ecstatic if all these treats ended up in my stocking on Christmas morning and I'm sure the fitness enthusiast in your life will be too. Did I forget one of your favorites? Share with me in the comments!
