I'm Headed to Eugene with Nike Running!

I need to take this time to reflect on a previous post I made, seen here, about not making it to the Pre Classic with Nike Running. A week after I thought I would have heard back from them, and had been told all invites had been sent, I received a dream email. Seriously, I threw my phone at my husband and made him read it just to make sure it was real. It was. I am still living on a high note. This coming Wednesday I embark on a weekend trip to Nike World Headquarters and TrackTownUSA in Eugene, OR. The experience will be incredible, unlike anything that I have ever done before and is a dream come true. 

I have been so excited and happy ever since. I've been having a hard time keeping my excitement at bay. Sorry friends, if I've been talking your ears off, I am just too excited! Oregon and Nike are obviously a few of my favorite things and they are all coming together this coming week for a once in a lifetime experience. The experience got even more real when a surprise package showed up on my doorstep with goodies from Nike Running. 

Nike sent out some amazing products to prepare me for the trip. I received a DVD of Steve Prefontaine's life and track career running for the University of Oregon. I watched it that same night. It's so inspiring and this coming week I will be running where he ran, not as fast, but I will be testing my limits! They also sent a backpack for me to pack the essentials and a Nike Zoom Project hoodie, welcoming me to the team! I feel so blessed right now. Humbled, proud, excited, nervous, all of these things explain my emotions. I am thrilled to be a part of this and look forward to sharing my journey with you.
