Gear Review: Nike Flyknit Zoom Agility
I have a lot of training shoes, running shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes...you name it. I am sure that I have more than any one person needs. However, all my shoes serve a different purpose and sometimes that purpose is simply motivation to go to the gym because I've put on my favorite pair of bright kicks.
My newest sneaker obsession is the Nike Flyknit Zoom Agility. When these first came out a few months back I missed snagging a pair of the gorgeous multicolor design, but ended up with a black pair, which is probably more what I truly needed. I have been so excited and pleased with my purchase ever since.
I have tried a lot of shoes and previously the Nike Free TR Trainer was my favorite training shoe. Now, however, I am loving the thicker sole and flyknit upper of these shoes. They are breathable, lightweight and have the perfect amount of support for high intensity moves. I always liked a little lower to the ground feeling for training, but recently, I have wanted a more stable, cushioned shoe for plyometric work. Perhaps it has to do with getting older (28!), my knees and feet just need more support and shock absorption.
The Nike Flyknit Zoom Agility delivers in every way. They wrap around your foot for a glove-like fit and provide plenty of support without being too heavy. They are extremely breathable due to the knit upper and move with your foot. They almost feel like wearing a sock.
The sole is built with Nike Zoom Technology and provides supportive and responsive cushioning. The upper features "flywire," which is Nike's special design that allows for cables to lock the foot down as you tighten the laces. The heel boasts memory foam in the collar (you know - like that amazing pillow you sleep on or tempurpedic bed?). This allows the heel area to mold to your foot and provide a snug fit.
I wear my Flyknit Zoom Agility shoes all day long and through training clients, group exercise classes and my own personal training program. These shoes deliver maximum comfort AND maximum performance. They do not disappoint. I only wish I could have every color! A girl can never have too many shoes, right?
