Don't Be Afraid to Try New Workouts, Here's Why!

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Cardio, NTC, Yoga, Kickboxing, Spin Class, Cross Fit, Zumba...with so many exercise disciplines, how do you choose which one is best for you? The answer may or may not surprise you. There is NO ONE RIGHT answer. In fact, in fitness and in life, it is best to find variety. This is good news. It means you can try and enjoy all these different disciplines of fitness without feeling like you are missing out. Your body gets used to one specific workout extremely fast. If you have been working out for a while you will have noticed that after a few weeks of doing one workout or exercise, it gets easier and your body knows what to do. It's great for muscle memory, but you have probably also noticed that your fitness gains diminish the longer you do one drill. The solution is mixing up your workouts.

For example, one week might be a HIIT workout at the gym with your trainer, spin class, a medium effort run, weight training and yoga, with at least one day of rest. The next week you might do a speed workout on the track, Zumba class, NTC at home, kickboxing and yoga.
