Apera Bag for the Win!

Disclaimer: I was sent a bag from Apera Bags to review. No other compensation was provided. Opinions expressed are mine alone.

I am always traveling and have used many different bags for air travel, in the car, to workouts and just simply on the go. I was excited when Apera Bags offered to let me try my choice of one of their bags. They offer different models of backpack, duffle bag and yoga tote. Having never had a bag specifically made for yoga, I was excited to try this model. It arrived a few weeks ago and since then I have taken it on three road trips. I am incredibly impressed with it's durability, details and endless amount of storage compartments. Seriously, there are pockets for everything and even a washable wet/dry bag!

What I first noticed about the bag was the durable fabric and convenient straps up the side to slip your yoga mat on the top of the bag. There are pockets on both sides of the bag and more storage compartments and pockets inside. There is also a great divider in the bag to separate your shoes from your clothes. It was even big enough to hold my size 11.5 running shoes, so if you have smaller feet you could most likely fit two pairs of shoes inside.

Every detail, from the fabric they used to the zippers, is top quality. The bag is made of top quality Nylon and the inner lining is a wipeable polyester. It's easy to keep clean even after a sweaty gym session. One of my favorite features is the antimicrobial protection they use inside and outside the bag, as well as the breathable vents that run along the top and sides of the bag to allow ventilation.

I packed my bag full of essentials, as you can see above, and they all fit for a three day trip. The side pockets were perfect for my toiletries, sunblock and hair ties. The grey perforated fabric near the zipper shows the ventilation system of the bag and allows the free flow of air to keep your sweaty, post-workout clothes from stinking up your car.

Did I mention that the bag is stylish too? I got it in the fuchsia color. While I would usually go for a traditional black, this bag deserves to be shown off. It's great for heading from work, to yoga class and to home. The option to use the shoulder strap or carry handles gives you options and makes it easy to throw over your shoulder on the go.

One of the cool features about Apera Bags is that with every 3 bags purchased, they give one back to a Special Olympics athlete. Your purchase helps them give back to the athletic community. This is my new go-to travel and yoga bag. Compared to my traditional duffle bags, this bag trumps them all on ventilation, fabric quality, storage and commitment to give back.
