Running Belt Review from TKO

Admittedly, I have never been the person who wears a running belt. I just don't like having anything around my waist when I run. They usually squeeze me in all the wrong places and get sweaty quickly. Are you with me? When TKO sent me their new running belt I was skeptical. My last one rode up my hips to my waist while I ran and was so tight on my stomach it made me feel sick mid-run. Plus, do I really need a running belt? They said their's was different, so I went out on an adventure and gave it a try!

Why wear a running belt

A running belt is worn for many reasons. They are great for storing fuel on long runs, some extra cash and your phone. I usually look for pants with pockets that can do this job for me so I don't have to worry about the running belt, but since I recently switched to an iPhone 6 Plus, my phone doesn't really fit in any of my pockets. Enter, the TKO running belt.

The benefits of the TKO running belt

Double pockets - these make the TKO running belt different. It has a smaller pocket for little items like your house key and some cash. The larger pocket is big enough for fuel and even holds my giant of a cell phone. Score!

Snug fit - the belt itself fit snug on my hips, which is where I prefer to wear the belt. On my 5k run, the belt stayed in place, which is huge.

Washable - sweat happens. When it does you can just throw this belt in the washer with your running clothes, easy as that.

Reflective - the first run I went on was at night. My friend was running behind me and commented on how bright the reflective strip was. It's so important to be seen on night runs and this added safety measure makes this belt one of my favorites.

My Thoughts

The TKO running belt was a pleasant surprise. It stayed put even when I thought it would ride up to my waist. It also stretched to fit my phone and other items. For me it was the perfect size and does adjust to fit your waist, however, if you are much larger than I am around the waist it may not fit you.

I'll definitely be taking this out with me on my longer runs or when I need my cell phone along. In general, I like to be a minimalist runner and carry as little as possible with me. But when I need a running belt, TKO will be my go to choice.

Get your own

If you are looking for a great way to carry some extra items with you during your run, the TKO running belt is perfect for you. It stays put, unlike many other running belts, which means you can run worry free. You can get your own at local running stores, TKO or online at Amazon.
