Style Session with SIX:02
I was provided a style session and one complimentary outfit as a courtesy from SIX:02. All opinions are my own. Two weekends ago I had the opportunity to participate in my very own style session with SIX:02 in Santa Monica, CA. I had been looking forward to experiencing this store for weeks and Sunday finally arrived. After finishing my morning fitness classes at the Idea World Fitness Convention I headed straight to Santa Monica. I arrived at the store a bit sweaty - but hey - I was there for a fitness style session and the lovely staff welcomed me with hugs and open arms. Thanks, Jen! I think I have a few new best friends!
After browsing the store, grabbing a few items that caught my attention and drooling over all the amazing gear specifically for women, I headed back to the fitting room and found a colorful array of clothing fit for a fitness lover like myself. Let the fit-styling begin!
I tried on look after look and had a hard time deciding. So much spandex and Lycra in one place. Some looks were not as good as others. (White is not my best look). I tried on some new brands, like Alala and Lorna Jane Activewear, as well as staple brands like Nike. I was impressed with how stylish and unique the Alala gear was. If only I had an endless fitness budget.
I did like some of the looks from Alala. They had very unique and stylish tights, but for me they weren't compressive enough for running, which is what I need. I also tried some Lorna Jane gear - but they just didn't have the right look and feel I was going for. I wanted strong, feminine and functional.
After an hour in the store and multiple fitting room modeling sessions, the winning look was Nike Legendary Capris in black marble, Asics Sports Bra, Nike Elastika Tank, and Mizuno Wave Prophecy 4 running shoes. Six:02 promotes mixing and matching brands and they convinced me to branch out of my Nike addiction and try something new. After I have run in the shoes for a few more training runs I will share a full review. So stay tuned.
SIX:02 was having a Buy 1 Get 1 Half off sale and of course, I had to grab a few stylish looks for the road. I settled on a pair of black and white clash tights from Puma and a lightweight black crop jacket that can easily go from day to night. I also snagged the blue lightweight Nike top pictured below and this adorable Yogini Cover Up!

So what did I learn? SIX:02 is an amazing fitness destination for women. With a variety of brands, styles and gear for everyone, you are sure to find what you need and probably more! While I wasn't able to attend one of their classes, you can try out new workouts almost every week FOR FREE at their Santa Monica store and all stores across the country. I can't extend a big enough thank you to SIX:02 and especially the SIX:02 store in Santa Monica for allowing me to experience all their store has to offer. I truly believe in the message of SIX:02 and feel like they know how to influence women through more than just retail, but also through the experience of athletics itself.
