Prana Love
I have always browsed Prana's products in my local REI store and have purchased a few of their dresses. I hadn't had a chance to test their workout pants and gear until given the opportunity through SweatPink. I was given the chance to try their Gabi Leggings and Gemma Sweater and I am in love with both. I gave them a test during a yoga routine.
Here in sunny California, I like to take my yoga outside. There is a gorgeous park near my house where I can usually practice with few distractions. I took my new leggings and sweater for an afternoon yoga sequence.
The first thing I noticed was the thin, sweat wicking fabric of the Gabi Leggings. They have a wide waistband that doesn't cut into your waist during variations in yoga poses. The fabric is extremely sweat wicking and I felt cool and dry during the whole session.
The Gemma sweater is great for cooler days to keep you warm during the warm-up and cool-down phases of yoga. The fabric is light and thin and provides the perfect amount of lightweight warmth and function. The weave of the fabric and color combination is very eye-catching and I also have been able to wear this sweater out on the town with skinny jeans and boots. I love the hoodie style.
My yoga skills are ever improving and as a runner, I am usually extremely tight. I have been using yoga as a way to stretch and release my tight hips and also as a way to help prevent overuse injuries in running. Since I own many running pants, I own very few without zipper pockets in the back. I love the pocket free design of these leggings which makes all my yoga poses seamless and comfortable. No bulky zippers to dig into my back or sides during different poses.
The Gabi Leggings are light and flexible enough for all types of cardio classes. I used them during kickboxing and taekwondo practice and they had great flexibility and allowed for a full range of motion with no tight seams or restrictions.
