Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by AfterShokz in an effort to spread awareness about their new Pink Trekz headphones, in partnership with Bright Pink to support and spread awareness around breast cancer awareness. All opinions and words are my own. I truly appreciate all of the brands the support the Sweat Pink community.  It's October, which means it's Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have had family members and friends personally affected by this disease, so I am always ready to help drive awareness and the search for a cure.

This month there are so many great companies helping the cause. I am happy to help spread the word and give back with Aftershokz! With that being said, here are my Friday five - five things that make me feel aware and empowered!

My Friday Five

Tunes that inspire. My favorite pump up songs before a workout are: Titanium by DJ Savanna, Blank Space by Taylor Swift and Burn by Ellie Goulding. Love them! Of course I listen with my Aftershokz, PINK headphones. They are amazing because they make me feel safer on the road with their outer ear design and bone conduction technology. Right now they are are giving 25% of the purchase price to Be Bright Pink, an organization spreading awareness and working towards a cure for Breast Cancer. If you don't have a pair, go get one today!

Give back. My very first 5k ever was in support of breast cancer. It was the Hot Pink 5k in Roseville, CA. This cause holds a special place in my heart as it was the beginning of my love of running. I love to do races to give back and drive awareness. Right now all your tweets and Instagram posts using the hashtag #AwareWithPink with give 25 cents to support breast cancer research and awareness as well!

Be a self care advocate. Everyone needs to practice self care. Mine often comes in the way of taking time to stretch or foam roll. I also love spreading awareness for how fitness can make your life more in sync and give you a sense of control. It's also a great stress reliever.

Inspiring threads. One way to spread awareness is to wear workout gear that is pink! I have a few shirts I purchased that spread awareness and the proceeds of my purchase price went to the BCA cause. At my old taekwondo studio we were allowed to wear pink belts with our colored or black belts during class during the month of October.

Friends who inspire. I have so many friends that inspire and empower me! I especially am empowered by my Concrete Runners Crew. They run for so many causes and give back in their local community by volunteering at races and local food banks.

Together we can all make a difference. Spread the word this October by wearing pink and using the hashtag #AwareWithPink. Just these few small things can make a huge difference in the fight against breast cancer.

Let's be unstoppable!
